All session-based therapy services are available as telehealth experiences except weekend retreats.

Benefits of Telehealth

1

Accessible no matter where you live

2

Easier to fit into your schedule

3

Gives you control over your environment

You don’t have to validate your need for virtual support. Just show up, and I’ll be here to support you.

Preparing for your telehealth session

Getting ready for your telehealth session is a lot like getting ready for your face-to-face session- except you can wear cozy socks, snuggle with your pet, and be in the space of your choosing!

Many of the ways you can get ready are just the same though.

  • Write down any questions or thoughts you want to make sure you bring up

  • Make yourself comfortable in a place where you have privacy and feel safe to open up

  • Check your wifi, ensure your device(s) have ample battery life

  • And settle in so that we can embrace your why in virtual real-time.

*If you find that during your telehealth journey you feel called to spend some time face to face, we can discuss options to meet in my Sacramento office.

Making (a literal) Room For Reflection

Puppy Lying on Brown Textile - Telehealth in Sacramento

When space permits, having a dedicated reflection room can be an empowering (an unexpected) benefit to telehealth.

This room is the place where you retreat when you’re done with our session and you just vibe. Draw, paint, write, sing, make art, dance, move, meditate. Just be.

You can create a reflection room to look like whatever (and I mean whatever) you need it to be.

Think about what we talked about.  Or don’t.

Feel your feelings. Or don’t.

Sit with the thoughts it brought up. Or don’t.

In this room, you can’t get it wrong.

What you can do is show up with whatever comes up, and leave it there. A reflection room gives you permission to just be, because it just is.
When you create this space, it’s yours. Use it however you need to hold space for the healing and hope you’re working toward.

Privacy in telehealth

The thought of making yourself vulnerable in so many ways may have you hesitating about jumping into telehealth with both feet. That’s okay, we can talk through it.

How can you protect my privacy if I’m not in the office?

Our telehealth platform is called Simple Practice. It’s a HIPAA-compliant provider that specializes in handling sensitive data.

Whether you get your healing virtually or face-to-face, Simple Practice is the platform we will use to store your intake paperwork, action plan, and credit card details. They are an integrated and easily accessible portal service that allows you the freedom of use, without the stress of how your information will be protected.

Is telehealth still held to the same confidentiality standards?

Absolutely! You will still be given my undivided attention, and the sanctity of a private space to have the experience you need no matter where we are when your session takes place.

On your end, you will have complete control of the space you choose to use to engage in healing work. This empowers you to feel confident in confidentiality while I guarantee the security of your confidence from mine.

You can take control of your healing, from the very first decision to call.
